Half a Year

Half a year has past already

so fast without any warning

the chance wasted, just yearning

left to discerning what could of been

The remainder of the year still upon me

waiting indiscriminately, lingering in the

distance, a shallow refuge or time for learning

I do not know

Certain of only one thing I must tread this journey

with its unknowns, finding solace in my sanctuary

I sit and ponder that far away place where questions

do not exist and answers are irrelevant

A place so powerful that to reveal it's true identity would be committing the most heinous

Her Poetic Heart

Through smoky mirrors and broken window panes lay a girl burnt of ash from those who's markings she bears, let alone her own learning to breathe, twisted and mangled, pain unimagined cripples her tearing back the sash of eyelids unveiled before her, crimson rains down around with fear that no one hears her cries, nor do they care. She knows their selfishness, she knows all to well their kind. They blame you instead.... she knows better. Staring back at herself, hiding from the tragedies of her life, she knows better, it is her, no one else. Voices beckoning, reason selecting choice of what she will become if anything at all. Motionless, chest barely rising, air begins to scarcen.....finally, she see's you kneeling before her. You know better, you can't blame no one else but you there man in the mirror. Come clean with you, own it as she has. Please stay, I need you she faintly hears you whisper in her ear. Heart's beating, eyes cast upward, mercy bestows love once more or will it be yet another illusion. Will it be the final marking by their kind...........
